If This Fails

Tear down to the failure point, install proper drainage (gravel + perforated pipe), rebuild. There's no shortcut. - **Mortar joints cracking and falling out?** Mortar was likely too dry, too wet, or wasn't tooled at the right time. Repoint: grind out old mortar to 3/4" depth, dampen joint, pack new mortar, tool when firm. - **Concrete crumbled within a year?** Too much water in the mix, inadequate curing, or deicing salt damage on uncured concrete. Tips
